Underground Storage
Tanks (USTs)
Underground Storage Tanks (USTs) are one of the
largest sources of soil and groundwater contamination
in the United States. In an effort to prevent and
rectify this situation, the U.S. EPA along with
various state governments have developed stringent
guidelines regulating the design, installation,
management, removal and remediation of UST systems.
HazCorp Experience
Since 1992, Hazcorp Environmental Services, Inc.
has been helping both UST owners and operators in
complying with complex regulations in a cost-effective
and environmentally safe manner.
HazCorp addresses the concerns that owners and operators
face everyday. Those concerns can range anywhere
from tank tightness testing to the repair, upgrade,
permanent abandonment and/or removal of UST systems.
Closure Assessments
Due to improved tank monitoring equipment and increased
compliance inspections suspected releases are becoming
more common. HazCorp has the right equipment and
expertise to perform various site assessments, tier
evaluations and subsurface investigations to determine
if a release has occurred into the soil or groundwater.
Remedial Options
In Ohio, as in other states, a closure assessment
is required upon permanent abandonment or removal
of a UST system. HazCorp personnel, in accordance
with applicable state and federal regulations, have
performed hundreds of closure assessments.
Professional Consultation is a Must
In the unfortunate event that a release is confirmed
and remediation is deemed necessary, HazCorp has
the experience and expertise to design and manage
all types of remedial activities. HazCorp Environmental
Services, Inc. is committed to assisting tank owners
in determining, which remedial, disposal or treatment
options are the most cost effective and environmentally
safe. Through a structured approach we address the
compliance requirements of any tank owner, regardless
of system size or complexity.
Unless a UST owner is completely confident in the
capability and competence of a UST removal/remediation
contractor, it is critical that the UST system owner
be represented by an experienced consulting firm.
Decisions such as excavation size, contaminated
soil/groundwater disposition, or alternate remediation
options can save or cost a UST owner thousands of
dollars. HazCorp represents UST owners with a commitment
to cost-saving and environmentally-safe solutions.
From remediation design and implementation to Tier
1 Evaluation reports, HazCorp Environmental Services,
Inc. delivers quality, dependable service.
We address the compliance requirements of any tank owner, regardless of system size or complexity
