Asbestos Management

Asbestos was widely used in thousands of building materials throughout much of the 20th century due to its strength and heat-resistant properties. As a result, many buildings—particularly those constructed prior to 1981—may still contain asbestos-containing materials. Because asbestos was never fully banned in the United States, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) considers that any building, regardless of age, may contain asbestos.

HazCorp Environmental Services provides comprehensive asbestos inspections and surveys to help building owners, contractors, and municipalities meet regulatory requirements and manage asbestos safely. Our services include occupied building (O&M) surveys, area-specific surveys, pre-renovation and pre-demolition surveys, and pre-fire training surveys, all performed in accordance with applicable OSHA, EPA NESHAP, and Ohio Department of Health regulations.
